INNO-GRIPS - Global Review of Innovation Policy Studies, Lot 2: Innovation intelligence studies Study 6: "Organisational and marketing innovations: Drivers of growth?"

"INNO-Grips" (short for "Global Review of Innovation Policy Studies") supports policymakers in adopting appropriate policy responses to emerging innovation needs, trends and phenomena. It analyses framework conditions, the barriers to and drivers for innovation and innovation policy and offers intelligence on international developments in these fields. Over a period of three years (2010-2012), INNO-Grips will conduct studies and organise workshops to exchange views, ideas and best practices with innovation stakeholders in order to optimise innovation policy Europe-wide.

The sixth study has the following objectives

  • Mapping the use and diffusion of organisational and marketing innovations of European firms (manufacturing and service sector).
  • Analysis of organisational and marketing innovations’ positive effects on the competitiveness and economic performance of European enterprises.
  • Analysis whether organisational and marketing innovation is affected by different types of market/system failures and innovation barriers preventing firms from innovating at a faster pace.
  • Overview of existing policy measures addressing organisational and marketing innovation in EU Member States and beyond

The study will be conducted by Fraunhofer ISI in cooperation with NIFU STEP (Norway).
