Studium der Wirtschaftsmathematik an der TU Dortmund. 2006-2007 Diplomarbeit am Institut für Weltwirtschaft zum Thema "Preisdeterminanten für CO ₂ -Emissionsrechte in Europa und die Bedeutung der Energiepreise". Seit Januar 2008 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Competence Center Energiepolitik und Energiemärkte (ehemals: Energiepolitik und Energiesysteme) am Fraunhofer-Institut für System- und Innovationsforschung ISI. Von 2008 bis 2012 außerdem externe Doktorandin bei Prof. Ehrhart am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) zum Thema „No-lose targets as an option to integrate non-Annex I countries in global emission reduction efforts – A game-theoretical analysis“.

• Ausgestaltung, Weiterentwicklung und Evaluation des EU-Emissionsrechtehandels
• Alternative Emissionshandelskonzepte, z.B. Upstream-Ansätze oder Personal Carbon Trading Modelle und deren Umsetzung
• Instrumente zur Integration von Nicht-Annex I-Ländern in internationale Emissionsminderungsanstrengungen, z.B. no-lose Ziele, sektorale Ansätze oder ein new market-based mechanism
• Ausgestaltung von internationalen Klimaschutzabkommen nach 2012, insbesondere Minderungsziele für Industrie- und Entwicklungsländer und flexible Mechanismen
